Rebecca L. deGraffenried (she/her)

I am a volcanology/igneous petrology postdoctoral researcher, currently working at Arizona State University. My research interests include magma degassing, diffusion modeling, and lava rheology

June 2023: Hired as an Assistant Professor at the University of Missouri - position to start January 2024
January 2023: Attended IAVCEI conference in Rotorua, New Zealand
July 2022: Attended Goldschmidt conference in Honolulu, Hawaii
June 2022: Started new NSF Postdoctoral Fellowship at Arizona State University
October 2021: Paper on factors controlling lava flow propagation during the 2018 Kīlauea eruption published in Bull. Volc.
August 2021: Talk for the International Diffusion Seminar, see recording here
August 2021: Field trip to Eifel Volcanic Field
July 2021: Moved to Germany to start new postdoc!
